We have earned the trust of many local, national, and international medical institutions who confidently refer their patients to us. We see patients who have been referred by their regular health care provider or need specialized gynecologic care.
Non-Routine IUD Insertion and Removal
We specialize in non-routine and complicated IUD insertions and removals. An IUD, or intrauterine device, is a small, T-shaped device that is inserted into a woman’s uterus to prevent pregnancy. IUDs can be used between 3-12 years depending upon the type and are one of the most effective forms of reversible birth control.
A sample of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is sometimes taken to screen for cancer, help diagnose the cause of irregular bleeding, or assess whether the lining can support a pregnancy.
Exams with Sedation
Fear, anxiety, a history of trauma, or mental and physical conditions can make routine gynecologic exams difficult for some patients. We have an anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetists who are able to provide you with a variety of levels of sedation to meet your comfort needs and improve your experience with gynecologic exams.
Sedation is available for:
Non-routine IUD insertions and/or removals
Individuals with a history of difficult gynecologic exams
With some pain-relief medications, you will not be able to drive and will need to have someone pick you up.If you have any questions, please contact us or call our office at 206-985-9553 or 888-94-WOMEN.
